Christmas

Beloved Soul,

it is once again this special time of year when your light wishes to be consciously seen and renewed. When people ask me this year, “What are you doing for Christmas?”  I answer:

“I am lighting my light.”

And yes — I truly mean that.

After many years in which I, too, was familiar with decadent Christmas celebrations, lavish tables, and endless conversations, I turned away from that. For nine years now, I have been spending Christmas in Portugal — and there I celebrate one thing above all else: stillness.

In the first years, it began very simply. I listened to the Christmas story, cooked a beautiful meal, and stayed present. But year after year, the outer world grew quieter. The outer story stepped back, and my inner story began to set the rhythm.A light that is rekindled each year.

This light — your own light — may also be the most important thing in the world for you, at least once. And again and again, I wish to remind you: Self-appreciation is not egoism. It is not cold individualism. It is the pure awareness of one’s own existence.

This spark is our life.

You are a star!
You are a star!

The Coming Fire

In 2026, we enter the Year of the Fire Horse. A luminous, fiery ride awaits us. And like all fire, it can be two things:It can hurt — or it can strengthen.

It will strengthen us when we have laid down our ballast. When we are ready to hold the concentrated cosmic energy flowing into Earth’s field. Light wants to make visible what lies within each of us. Our gifts want to be seen.

But if we are still accompanied by complexes, insecurities, negativity, frustration, or shame, this abundance may overwhelm us. The Fire Horse will then stress us rather than carry us.

That is why the still-present Year of the Snake was an invitation:To shed old skins. To move closer to ourselves layer by layer.

What contaminates the fire was allowed to go.And so the fire can now — like the finest fuel — ignite our lives and the lives of those around us.

The Consecrated Night

And now, back to Christmas.Christmas is the consecrated night — the moment when we may step back into essence. Into origin. Into remembrance of origin.

Here we encounter the Christ Consciousness — the consciousness of peace within the heart. During this time, we are invited to make space for the light within us and to remember who we are.

Through the pure heart.Protected and supported by the gifts of enlightenment, symbolized by the three kings:

  • Frankincense — the gift of divinity

  • Myrrh — the gift of healing

  • Gold — spiritual alchemy

The shepherd follows the star. The call of his heart. All move toward the light born in a humble stable.

This humble shelter is the material world —a seemingly poor place, in contrast to the inner kingdom.

Capricorn & Light

Why does Christmas take place in the energy of Capricorn? Capricorn represents the quality of matter like no other sign — hardness, discipline, steadfastness — and at the same time the highest consciousness. It climbs all the way to the summit.

And here lies a deep secret: Light only becomes visible when it meets a boundary. Resistance. A clear form.

Light is reflection.

And so our inner light also becomes perceptible only when it meets the clarity of our consciousness — when we are steadfast, truthful, and present.

Beloved soul, light your light. Not loudly. Not for others. But consciously — for yourself.

With love,

Bilonda
